Inmate Visitation at Sarasota County Jail

The Sarasota County Jail grants its inmates the privilege of visitation. All visits need to be scheduled at least 24 hours prior but no further than 2 weeks in advance. Each inmate is given three 50-minute visits each week. Only 3 visitors per session are allowed, including minors. Adult visitors need to present an undamaged valid photo ID. Aside from on-site visits, inmates can also have remote video visits with family and friends. These visits cost $12 for every 25 minutes.

Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Open Records Request

The Records Section of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for handling all requests for copies of public records. Submission of a public record request can be done in person at the Records Section located on the first floor of the Criminal Justice Center at 2071 Ringling Boulevard between 8am and 5pm, Mondays through Fridays. Requests can also be mailed to the Sheriff’s Office or sent via email at [email protected]. In addition, a request can be submitted online through the Sheriff’s Office website.
