Inmate Visitation at Monroe County Jail
Inmates detained in the Monroe County Jail are allowed to visit with family and friends. The facility uses a video visitation system that enables people to visit the inmates onsite or at home. All visits, onsite or remote, must be scheduled at least 8 hours prior but not more than 2 weeks before. Visits can be scheduled through the ICSolutions website. Each visit has a 30-minute limit. While onsite visits are free of charge, remote visits cost $9.95 each.
Visits will be monitored and recorded. Onsite visitors will be searched once they enter the facility. Each inmate is allowed a maximum of 2 visitors per session, either two adults or 1 adult and 1 minor. All adult visitors must provide a valid government issued photo ID. Any minors need to be in the company of his/her legal guardian.
Onsite Video Visitation:
Days – Monday through Friday, except for holidays
Times – 8 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 4 pm
Off-site Video Visitation:
Days – Monday through Sunday – including holidays
Times – 8 am to 11 am, 1 pm to 4 pm, and 7:30 pm to 11 pm.
Aside from a list of inmates, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office also maintains a list of active warrants on its website. The list is alphabetically arranged according to last name. You can sort the list by selecting the first letter of an individual’s last name. You can also use the built-in find function of the browser to search for a particular individual. The Warrants page includes the complete name of the suspect, his/her physical description, last known address, charges, bond amount, and warrant number.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Open Records Request
The Records Division of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for handling all background checks, accident reports, and incident reports generated by the agency. Requests for copies of reports and public records can be submitted to this office through the online Public Records Request Form provided on the Sheriff’s Office website. A notification regarding the status of your request will be sent to you by the end of the next business day. To submit a request anonymously, you can call 305-292-7050.
