Inmate Visitation at Alachua County Jail
Inmates housed in the Alachua County Jail are granted the privilege of visitation. Each inmate is allowed two 1-hour sessions of non-contact, onsite visitation on a weekly basis. The inmate can only have two visitors for each session. Minors who are less than 2 years of age are allowed to visit as long as they are under the supervision of an adult. They are not included in the amount of visitors allowed per session. All visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours before through the scheduling website www.videovisitanywhere.com.
Internet visits are also allowed. Remote sessions must also be scheduled ahead of time, at least 24 hours prior. Eligible inmates can receive 2 30-minute internet visits per week. Each visit costs $7.95. Internet visits are available everyday from 8am to 8pm as long as it does not overlap with scheduled onsite visits. While inmates are not allowed to receive calls, they are able to make outgoing calls. Inmates can make calls daily from 8am to 10pm. Take note that the recipient of the call must have a SECURUS account which they can set up by calling 1-800-844-6591 because these are collect calls paid by the recipient. In addition, each call is limited to 15 minutes.

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office allows access to its public records which include reports on inmates and offenders. Open records requests can be submitted using the Open Records Request Form provided on the Sheriff’s Office website.
