It uses a community-oriented policing strategy and is staffed by 121 employees. The department is organized into three bureaus which are Uniform Patrol, Special Services & Investigations, and Support Services. It also has several specialized units such as SWAT or Special Weapons and Tactics, Narcotics/Vice, Crime Prevention, Traffic Unit, and Code Enforcement.

Uniform Patrol Bureau
The Uniform Patrol Bureau consists of four patrol teams that are staffed with 8 officers, a working corporal, and a sergeant. The bureau also has specialized units such as K-9 unit, traffic unit, and the vice/narcotics unit.
Criminal Investigations Division:
The Criminal Investigations Division handles felony investigations, civil forfeitures, and intelligence information. It is also responsible for any evidence collected by the officers.
